Welcome to The d’Arcy Doyle Art Awards
Established in 2004, The d’Arcy Doyle Art Awards immediately proved itself as one of the top visual art competitions, not only in Queensland but further afield.
This exhibition has also attracted many art buyers as a large variety of good quality art is on display.
The major category is ‘Landscape’, with other categories being ‘Still Life’ and ‘Portrait/Figures’.
The 2011 prize money was a total of $13,500.
People’s Choice Award was sponsored by the Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society ADFAS Gold Coast Inc.
Three award-winning artists were randomly selected who each painted a portrait of Rugby League player Mark Minichiello of Titans fame, in the hope of creating more public interest in the visual arts.
The portraits were auctioned for charity (Paradise Kids) on Opening Night.
We are pleased that we could contribute to the charity by way of a raffle, auction and sale of paintings.
